Nightal 6th, 1372 DR The Year of Wild Magic
Day 64 – Early Morning (Time suspended while in pyramid)
The Pyramid of Shadows, Library Of Whispers
Having cleared the final Arborean defenders the party decides to take an extended break in the Arboreans area. Sneezy gets busy setting up a small magical lab to make or replace magical equipment, apart from that everyone else takes the chance to relax and practice their arts.
With no sign of Cymbalta for over a week, the party decides to explore further after Sneezy explains that Vyrellis is getting more than a little annoyed at the extended delay. So Sneezy, Doc, Happy, Snow & Stag head out to some of the unexplored areas on this level of the Pyramid. Happy taking the lead heads the party North, back to the starting pit room and then beyond. Passing by a corridor, Happy spies a large reptillian beast resting in a murky pool to the east. It doesnt spot Happy and he motions the party for quiet and the group backs up to decide on a plan. Doc wants to take them out before moving on, becasue he doesnt like the idea of being ambushed from behind, but Happy & Sneezy after conversing with Vyrellis decide that North is a better choice as it doesnt lead to another Pyramid factional area. The party beings to move north when Doc is spotted by the large reptillian beast, and they stare at each other for a few moments. To Doc’s surprise the beast turns back to whatever it was doing and ignores him. Doc again insists that this beast is up to no good and wants to attack. As a compromise Stag uses his Gloaming armor to dissappear and scout the area, finding another large reptillian beast and several smaller humanoid lizard like creatures moving about the pool. The party decides to see what the lizards do, but after a few minutes of this, with no reaction from the lizards the party again moves north.
Passing the rat room they arrive at the end of a corridor heading north, blocked by impressive double doors. The party moves into a defensive pattern and Happy opens the door to reveal a huge space filled with bookcases along all of the walls and in rows throughout the room. An impressive white marble statue stand in the center of the Library surrounded by a large grassed area. Its then that the whispering begins, and gains in volume, however the dwarves dont seem to notice as they are all staring google eye’d at the 12’tall naked female statue.
Snapping his gaze from the statue, Happy moves in for a closer look, and the rest take up positions near the door. Happy notes that the whispering appears to be coming from the bookshelves and moves closer to investgate, meanwhile Sneezy gets a ear-bashing from Vyrellis who is asking him to tell everyone to stop staring at her statue. As sneezy moves up to a bookshelf and looks around he is confronted by a humanoid with leathery skin and glowing yellow eyes, holding a rather sharp looking scimitar, they both spring into action…

After the battle the only issue that concerned the party was who should get to check the statue for “hidden compartments” first, Doc winning that honour!. Sneezy and Snow examined the vast library and after some time discovered a Raise Dead & Consult the Mages scroll.
Vyrellis’s shard is missing, she also detects another shard to the north.
